Yogesh Mahajan, a talented and celebrated actor known for his roles in popular television series like Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Adaalat, Jai Shri Krishna, and Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, has passed away at the age of 49 due to a heart attack. His sudden demise on January 19 has left the entertainment industry, his fans, and colleagues in shock and mourning.

A Journey from a Farmer’s Son to a Respected Actor
Born in September 1976, Yogesh Mahajan hailed from a humble farming background with no prior connections to the entertainment industry. Through sheer dedication and talent, he rose to prominence and became a revered figure in television and Marathi cinema.
At the time of his death, Yogesh was portraying the role of Shukracharya in the Hindi television series Shiv Shakti – Tap, Tyag, Tandav. Beyond his TV career, he also left an indelible mark in Marathi cinema, starring in notable films like Mumbaiche Shahane and Sansarachi Maya.
Tragic Circumstances of His Death
Yogesh’s passing came to light when he failed to show up for a scheduled shoot. Crew members, concerned about his absence, entered his apartment in Umergaon to find him unresponsive. His funeral was conducted the following day in Borivali, Mumbai, as family, friends, and colleagues bid farewell to the beloved actor.

Yogesh’s co-star Suzanne Bernert expressed her grief, saying:
“I can’t believe it… such a wonderful human being and actor… we had intense scenes, but off-camera, it was great fun! Always positive, he was, and I am shocked. We often traveled together and had deep conversations. I am sad we lost touch through work. Om Shanti, my friend. I am so sorry for his family.”
Her heartfelt words reflect the admiration and affection Yogesh inspired in those who worked with him.

Yogesh Mahajan was active on social media, connecting with his audience through glimpses of his life and work. His final Instagram post, shared on January 12, featured him dressed as Shukracharya on the set of Shiv Shakti—Tap, Tyag, Tandav, with the caption:
